The Lourdes Youth Pilgrimage is intended to bring young Catholics, ages 15-25, together for a life-changing experience which deepens their knowledge and love of our Catholic Faith and empowers them to bring their faith to the world, especially through service.
The pilgrimage runs 10-15 April 2018, under the direction and leadership of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia with the support of friends and benefactors.
The six-day pilgrimage will consist of a balance of study, liturgical and personal prayer, and educational tours of Lourdes, St. Bernadette’s home and parish, and the surrounding areas.
The study portion of this pilgrimage will center around the dignity of the human person and the beauty of Christian service. Both the conferences and experiences within Lourdes will aim at answering the following questions:
- What is the privileged place of the sick and disabled within the Church?
- What does “dignity of the human person” mean?
- What is the meaning of Christian suffering?
- How do these truths impel us to make a difference in our communities?
