The Aberdeenshire Theological Circle are holding their Annual Public Lecture on Monday, 7th October 2019 at 14:15 at the Chaplaincy Centre, University of Aberdeen (25 High Street, Old Aberdeen).
The lecture titled “Presence, Worship and Location in the Digital World” will be given by V. Revd Albert Bogle, Founder “Sanctuary First”.
All Welcome and Tea/Coffee will be served.
The V. Revd Albert Bogle was ordained as a minister of the Church of Scotland in 1981. He served for over 30 years at St Andrew’s Parish in Bo’ness. He was also the founder, and is the chairman, of The Vine Trust, which was established in 1985. The Vine Trust aims to help some of the poorest children and communities around the world and provides a health service for around 100,000 patients every year. He is founder of Sanctuary First, an innovative App which promotes daily worship and prayer online.
Sanctuary First is a Pioneer Ministry developed by the Church of Scotland through Falkirk Presbytery. The concept was originally developed out of the congregation of St Andrew’s Parish, Bo’ness, but has transitioned into what might be described as a fresh expression of church under the direct governance of Falkirk Presbytery. The V. Revd Albert Bogle was appointed in April 2016 as minister of Sanctuary First, with the aspiration that Sanctuary First will become a worshipping congregation of the Church of Scotland on the internet. www.Sanctuaryfirst.org.uk
