Uplifting Walks invites you to join us as we follow River Dee from Banchory to Crathes Castle. This 8-mile walk*  will be mainly along level, solid tracks passing through beautiful scenery, picturesque woodland and the grounds of the castle.

The walk will be accompanied by flowing conversation all while being surrounded by beautiful Aberdeenshire nature.

* Those wishing to complete the shorter 4 mile option will need to use the 201/202 bus service to return to Banchory from Crathes Castle. The cost of this will be £3.25 or free with concession card. If you are using public transport you can also get a bus directly back to Aberdeen from here.

Food Requirements: Packed Lunch required.

Car Parking:  There are two sections to the car park, a payable section and a free section, please park in the free section. Other free car parks are available around Banchory.  SatNav: AB31 5ST
Public Transport: Banchory is well serviced by the bus service 201/202 from the Aberdeen. Aberdeen is very well serviced from the Inverness/Elgin direction. There is also a train service which runs between Inverness/Elgin/Huntly/Inverurie into Aberdeen.
