The Becoming Retreat is an annual in-person event organised by the Faith-Chat Platform, dedicated to proclaiming the message of the Gospel and deepening self-awareness in Christ. Rooted in our Catholic identity, the retreat offers a sacred space for participants to journey from their present realities toward their ultimate eternal goal in God.
At the heart of the Becoming Retreat is a desire to raise faithful, Spirit-filled Catholics who are equipped to live out their faith boldly in today’s world. Our speakers are carefully selected for their experience and their personal commitment to spiritual and personal growth.
The retreat is open to all who seek to grow in faith, understanding of the self and life’s purpose.
This year will be the 3rd anniversary. It was first held in Nottingham, then Coventry and now we’re coming home to Aberdeen.
Through this retreat, we hope to continue to inspire lives, strengthen the Church and build a generation grounded in the truth of the Gospel, love of God and neighbour, and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Programme:
- Thu 1st October – Arrivals
- Fri 2nd October – Pilgrimage to Carfin Grotto, Motherwell, 07:00 to 15:00 and Healing Service at 18:30
- Sat 3rd October – Becoming Retreat 8:00 to 17:00
- Sun 4th October – Commissioning Mass at 08:00
