Light of the North Summer 2021

Welcome to our summer edition of the Light of the North!

As God willing, life slowly begins to return to normal after the last year and a half of Covid misery there is, fortunately, no shortage of good news from the Diocese, and some truly inspirational stories: Glen Reynolds reports on the recent ordinations of Christopher Doig and Malachy Eze to the priesthood; Lidia Konar interviews a Polish family faced with a life-affirming test of faith; Eileen Grant takes a look at a lesser-known Marian devotion, “The Seven Joys of Mary” and Fr Domenico Zanrè suggests a summer read which has the papal seal of approval! In addition, Margaret Bradley discovers a blooming successful community garden at St Andrew’s Church, Braemar, and on a more light-hearted note, Canon Peter Barry tells how ten little jacketed bundles of joy were borne into the world at Pluscarden Abbey.

The new online version of the magazine also makes it easy if you want to share it with friends, or if you want to place it on your Facebook page. Perhaps you know someone who would prefer to read a hard copy of the Magazine then why not download and print off a copy for them?
